1.  Drying temperature

Definition: Temperature at which a polymer is pre-dried to ensure molding quality

Function :

(1)Remove water in raw materials;

(2)Ensure the quality of finished products.

Setting principles:

(1)The polymer will not decompose or agglomerate (polymerization);

(2)The drying time should be as short as possible, and the drying temperature should be as low as possible without affecting its drying effect.The drying temperature and time  vary with different raw materials.

2. Material temperature

Definition: temperature applied to the feed tube to ensure smooth molding.

Function: to ensure that the polymer plasticization (melt glue) is good, smooth filling, forming.

Setting principle:

(1) will not cause plastic decomposition carbonization;

(2) from the feeding off to the nozzle in turn rise;

(3) nozzle temperature should be slightly lower than the cylinder before the break temperature;

(4) according to the different material types and the required temperature is different;

(5) do not have a bad quality impact on the products.

3. Mould temperature

Definition: the surface temperature of the die cavity in contact with the product.

Function: control the cooling rate of the product in the mold cavity, and the apparent quality of the product.

Setting principles:

(1) considering the properties of the polymer;

(2) considering the size and shape of the product;

(3) considering the structure of the mold, gateway system.

4. Infusion speed

Definition: under a certain pressure, the rate of injection from the nozzle to the mold.

Effect:

(1) the injection speed will increase the filling pressure;

(2) the injection speed can increase the flow length, uniform quality;

(3) high viscosity when high speed injection, fast cooling, suitable for long process products;

(4) low speed flow is stable, product size is stable.

Setting principles:

(1) to prevent mold support and overflow;

(2) to prevent burning caused by excessive speed;

(3) to choose high speed filling as far as possible under the premise of ensuring the quality of products to shorten the molding cycle.

5. Melting speed

Definition: the speed at which the screw melts during plasticizing.

Function: an important parameter affecting plasticizing ability and quality. The higher the speed, the higher the melt temperature, the stronger the plasticizing ability.

For machines with screw diameter greater than 50MM, the speed should be controlled below 50RPM, and for machines with screw diameter less than 50MM, the speed should be controlled below 100RPM.

6. Press

Definition: the maximum pressure at the outlet at the head of the screw, which is closely related to the oil pressure generated in the injection cylinder.

Function: to overcome the melt pressure loss from nozzle - runner - gate - cavity, in order to ensure that the cavity is filled, get the required products.

Setting principles:

(1) must be within the rated pressure range of the injection molding machine;

(2) try to use low pressure when setting;

(3) try to avoid using high pressure at high speed to avoid abnormal conditions.
